The binding is a little surface worn and scuffed, with a couple of tiny nicks to the top edge of the spine covering. The front hinge is a bit creaky, but fine. Else, the binding is good and firm. Internally, there is an armorial bookplate of Lord Sandys. Internally, the endpapers have some light browning to the edges, and there is a small ink mark to the top corner of the front pastedown. The contents have a few scattered light foxed spots, and a little dustiness to some margins. Else, the contents are in rather lovely, crisp, clean and bright condition throughout. [12], 171, [1]p. Complete.Engraved vignette to title page, and 15 engraved plates, mostly folding.Henry Maundrell (1665–1701) was an academic at Oxford University and later a Church of England clergyman, who served as chaplain to the Levant Company in Syria.
