I have here for sale a book entitled THE HISTORY OF THE PURITANS or Protestant non-Conformists by Daniel Neal, and published by W. Williamson, Dublin, 1759. Vol 3 only for sale here. Covering the Battle of Edgehill to the death of King Charles I 1648. With an account of the Puritan Principles; their attempts for further reformation in the church; their sufferings, and the lives and characters of their principal Divines. Appendix at end covering the XV Articles of the Church of England.Bound in leather, with 5 raised bands to the spine. The front and rear boards are detached. A masking tape spine covering is attached to the rear board. Bumped and chipped to the head and tail of spine, and to corners, and cracked to spine. Rubbing to the boards. The first few pages and the postlims are held together with masking tape. Binding pulling in some places. Pencil inscriptions periodically throughout. This book is in overall fair condition. 518 pages. 21.5 x 13.5 cm.
