5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books I've read in a long time - a must readI couldn't put this book down! I read it in two days. I have actually never read a story like this and told in this way before. Each chapter is written from the perspective of both Jules and Mark Kennedy who share their experiences of the same events but from their own perspectives. It's incredibly insightful and I felt that almost every aspect of this incredible story is relatable in some way to your own life. They are so brave to share this story and so glad they did! I would definitely recommend this book.5.0 out of 5 stars I struggled to put it down! Inspirational!I just want to thank you both for sharing such raw, personal experiences and emotions. This is a wonderfully written book and whether you have a personal connection to; sudden injury, cancer and grief - or not - this book will take you on a roller-coaster journey of emotions that you just can't put down. Inspirational. Thank you both.5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and enlighteningReviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 June 2020A heartfelt written book, giving a truly honest account of a couple's life, from both perspectives. This was such a helpful book to understand the often hidden effects of brain injury and the wider impact this can have on work, life and relationships. This also is a beautiful account of true love and how it can endure life's most challenging moments, to grow stronger, giving us all hope that love always wins.5.0 out of 5 stars Who would have thought that eating a bit of seafood would change two people's lives so drastically?Who would have thought that eating a bit of seafood would change two people's lives so drastically?Such a well-written book about going through and overcoming what life can really throw at us. It feels like the authors are in the same room having a friendly conversation over a drink or two. What these two have only been through, supported each other and have come out the other side, still together and still loving one another is wonderful. Thoroughly recommend What The Hell Just Happened to anyone that has suffered grief, brain injury and breast cancer.5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommendedBought this book for a friend who had a serious brain injury 4 years ago. The situation was very similar, helped him realise everything he is going through. I read it in an afternoon, and he is going to give it to his daughter so she can try to understand the struggles he had and still has. Very good read highly recommend.
