This is a nice vintage 1959 Antonio Frasconi, Brooklyn Bridge II, Post War Woodblock Print. This is a beautiful print of New York in the 1950s. The frame is contemporary to the piece. The print was owned by My Uncle, he was an artist that lived and worked in New York from the 1940s into the 1980s. Antonio Frasconi was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and grew up in Uruguay. In 1945 he was awarded a scholarship to the Art Students League in New York. He also attended the New School for Social Research and later taught there. He illustrated books and published hundreds of images. The frame has wear and measures 22 5/8” high x 17 1/4” across. The site size of the print measures 14 3/4” x 10”.
