"Grandad", suggested Erin, my granddaughter, as we discussed my new book, "why not write a book of short stories, you could call it-Vapour Trails and other short stories." Thus began this series with the titles, Vapour Trails, The Jersey Girl, the Horses Heads, The Wind Bloweth, The Sand, Sea Adventure, The Mist, The Daring Young Man. And for the young readers, Murphy and Mama Goose.
Author Biography
In 1982, Roy C Porter resigned from his job as an engineer with a fibre manufacturing company in Londonderry to become a missionary director with a children's mission. Roy travelled throughout Danegal in Southern Ireland and parts of Europe. He spent ten years in Londonderry and then ten years in the Isle of Man. Following retirement, Roy began to write. His first book contained a series of Bible Devotionals, his next, an autobigraphy entitled The Derry Boy and the Egg. Next he wrote a novel, The Ayre Conspiracy, followed by another novel Windmills in the Mist. He then compiled a second set of Devotionals, followed by the present edition of short stories.
