The modern reader's Bible: a series of works from the sacred Scriptures presented in modern literary form, Jeremiah written by Richard Green Moulton, Professor of Literature in English in the University of Chicago, author, and lawyer.

This book is one of the series "The Modern Reader's Bible" and this volume is dedicated to Jeremiah.

The difference from the classical text of the Bible is that it is written in a modern literary form.

The text in this, as in the other volumes, is the text of the revised version, with marginal alternatives often accepted. For its use, the author expresses his commitment to Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
