The books in this saga were written in the 1920s, and in 1932 Galsworthy won the Nobel prize for them. Scribner republished these books under a new copyright in 1969.

You can track the reading progress of the previous owner of this boxed set through the condition of the books. Three are a little rough, with bumped corners, wrinkled pages, and rough edges (please see the last three pictures for examples of this wear). That must be as far as they read, though, because the other three books are in pristine condition. See the third and fourth pictures for a stark contrast in condition of the books.

So three books that look as they've never been read with little to so signs of age or wear; and three that have some scuffs, none significant enough to affect your reading pleasure.
