Front cover is black and white photo with grey tones, title and round graphic/symbol in shades of orange. Both covers show light wear along edges; tips are slightly bumped with slight peeling at points which are slightly curling. Front top tip area has 2 slight creasings and 1/2" from tip down front edge shows slight peel and small curling. Back upper tip with slight surface crease. Both covers with slight surface scratches, front cover has a short line indent that can slightly be felt on inside cover. Only slight surface soil on covers and spine. Slight wear and bumping at spine ends; there is a short 1/4" "crack" near spine head on spine and barely extending onto front cover. There are no opening creases. Top leaf edge with few small light soil spots; front leaf edge with light soil at top tip and top edge areas and slight handling handling soil on front of this leaf edge; bottom leaf edge has light shelf soil along page tips and edges, nothing distracting. Pre-title page has lightly stamped numbers at top of page, perhaps price or code. Few top tips of first pages with tiny tip curl, several lower page tips with tiny slight bump and curl. Very slight shallow crease on first few pages at front edge near bottom and top edge near tip. Covers tight at binding. Front cover slightly flares at front edge. Book measures 7.0x9.25 and weighs 2 pounds.

Book consists of 612 pages including a 6-page index. Pages tight at binding, clean, white. Several black and white photos with captions throughout text; photos are a bit dark, most are older with few more modern; if known, photo date or approximate is stated in caption.

Contents in 10 chapters with most being a designated directional area of Native Americans.
