London, Gollancz. 1954. First UK hardcover edition. a very good book in a good dust wrapper. The book's spine is slightly cocked, but the binding is tight. There is foxing on the top edges and some pages. The dustwrapper has some marks / discolourations (see photos) The original wrap-around promotional ribbon ("Awarded first prize by the International Fantasy and Science Fiction Award Committee") is partially present, with the rear section missing.
