This is a lot of seventeen paperback horror books for teens, all of which were written by Christopher Pike. The condition of the books ranges from FAIR to VG+ (very good plus), with my rating scale progressing as follows: FAIR . . G . . G+ . . VG- . . VG . . VG+ . . NF- . . NF

A book that is in FAIR condition will have a fair bit of wear, but it will not have any flaws that would make it unreadable or horribly unsightly. The cover may be a little soiled and/or tanned from age and will have moderate or more edge wear. There may be some creasing on the front, back or spine. The spine may be a little faded, slanted and/or a little cocked. Clear tape may have been applied at the top or bottom of the spine to repair a small tear. There may be a name, inscription, price or bookstore stamp inside somewhere. The pages will be tight, but they may be less crisp than when new, may show some age tanning, and may have small smudges, stains and corner folds. Two or three pages may have a small edge tear. The odd heavier cover crease has been reinforced with clear tape inside the cover to prevent it from becoming a tear. One book has a very small piece torn from the lower corner of the front cover and the upper corner of the back cover. One book has a piece torn from the right edge of the front cover where part of a cut-out letter was. One book has some warping in the upper corner of the first few pages and a two and a half inch taped cut on the back cover. One book has a library name stamped inside the back cover.

A book that is in NF condition will be almost like new. The cover may have slight edge wear and the pages may show a little age tanning. There may be a price sticker on the back cover.
