Review Quote
"A powerful and compelling account of family life in the context of problem debt. Required reading for people studying, working with, and most importantly making policies affecting low-income families."
Feature
* Engaging insight into what life is like for real people struggling with debt. * Analysis into problem debt and impact on children is based on interviews with over sixty families with children. * Incorporates the voices of children, and families - previous titles that have done this have sold well. * Authors are senior researchers at The Children's Society * Should have broad market appeal as spans fields of sociology, childhood and families. * Sorcha has connections with StepChange (a problem debt charity) and will draw on their policy influencing networks in order to help market the book. Unique selling point: Based on original research, this is the only book to explore and analyse the impact of problem debt on children using the voices of children and families themselves to focus on the human stories.
