Condition	Good condition, binding is mostly tight (rear cover is slightly loose), covers have some wear, cover edges and corners have considerable wear, spine has wear (especially on top and bottom) but gilding is still mostly present, front endpaper is a little loose at binding, original owner's name stamped on front endpaper, pages are yellowed with foxing and some stains present on several pages, page damage on a couple pages (does not detract from readability)

I'm selling some books from my parents' collection.Krider's Sporting AnecdotesEdited by H. Milnor KlappCopyright 1853Published by Hart, (late) Carey and HartHardcoverA very rare book! Published in 1853, this book carries the name of one of early America's famous gun makers and hunting & fishing outfitters, John Krider of Philadelphia. The last 7 pages of the book serve as an advertisement, and lists the many products that Krider offered to hunting and fishing sportsmen (includes a great engraving-- see pic).This book is in good condition overall, especially considering the fact that it's 170 years old. The binding is mostly tight though the rear cover is a little loose. The covers have some wear, and the cover edges and corners have considerable wear. The spine has wear, especially on top and bottom, but the gilding there is still mostly present. The front endpaper is a little loose at the binding. The original owner's name is stamped on the front endpaper. The pages are yellowed with some foxing also present. There are some stains found on several pages. There is page damage on a couple pages near the front (I've tried to take pictures of the damage; it looks like the pages were stuck together and tore when the book was opened). This damage does not detract from readability. The original tissue paper between the first engraving and the title page is still intact!Buyers with US addresses pay flat $11.00 shipping fee and 1st class postage.
