About The Authors

Dr. Edwin H. Spengler, was the founder and served for many years as the Dean of the School of General Studies at Brooklyn College. In 1950, Dr. Spengler established the evening division of the school and, as executive secretary of the Association of Evening Colleges for nine years, he became a nationally leader in continuation known leader in continuing education.

He organized the bureau of economic research at Brooklyn College in 1932 and served as its director for 25 years. He was the author of several introductory textbooks in economics and business, including our offering, “Introduction to Business.”

Jacob Klein is the co-author of Introduction to Business. He served on the faculty of the Department of Economics at Brooklyn College.
