Author Biography

When Mercedes Baker was growing up, she always loved to learn, but it wasn't until her freshman year in high school when she learned about her love for literature. She is a young mother of two, but one thing she knew for sure is that she wants her children to have a fun exploration with reading books. By the time her son was one and a half, he had memorized his favorite book, so she decided to make up stories for story time in bed. Since he'd fall asleep to her made-up stories, she knew they'd be good enough to write and publish.
