Author Biography
Mitra Avari, PSY.D., was born in Iran, where she received her master's degree in Clinical Psychology and worked as a private practitioner. After Iran's revolution, she immigrated to the United States with her husband and two daughters, where she obtained her master's degree in School Psychology. Dr. Avari worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District for twenty-three years and retired in 2015. In 2014 she obtained her doctoral degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and currently works as a private practitioner in Beverly Hills, California.
