Mr. Cunningham's contributions to the preservation of New Jersey's history have been great: he is the author of 35 books, at least 2,000 magazine articles on state and local history, his fourth-grade curriculum is used extensively throughout the state, and he is the author of the only one-volume history of New Jersey ever written.
