Here is a group of 6 vintage hardcover children's early reader books: 4 are "An Early I Can Read Book" and 2 are "An I Can Read Book". Harper & Row, Publishers. Various authors. Printed in U.S.A.I have placed a ruler in some pictures for size reference. Color illustrated. No dust jackets. Five books have matte hardcovers and the Lobel book has a glossy hardcover.I have paged through the books and each is complete. Very good to good condition with light handling wear and aging overall. The matte hardcovers have a range of light smudges, soiling, marks, and there are more rubs at the cover spine ends and tips. The Bulla and Pinkwater books have the most wear along the spine and edges, and the Pinkwater book has more soiling. The one dust jacket has wear, fading, short edge and spine tears. Tight bindings. One book has a name written inside the front cover and another book has a date stamp inside the back cover. No names or writing in the other books. Crisp bright pages, gently handled overall. I note a few short page tears and creases. No musty or smoke odor.- "What Have I Got?": by Mike McClintock. Pictures by Leonard Kessler. An Early I Can Read Book. Copyright 1961. It has 32 pages (not counting the end pages).- "Come And Have Fun": by Edith Thacher Hurd. Pictures by Clement Hurd. An Early I Can Read Book. Copyright 1962. It has 32 pages (not counting the end pages). Page 13/14 has a creased upper corner.- "Mother Rabbit's Son Tom"; by Dick Gackenbach. An Early I Can Read Book. Copyright 1977, First Edition. It has 32 pages (not counting the end pages).- "Little Chick's Breakfast": by Mary DeBall Kwitz. Pictures by Bruce Degen. An Early I Can Read Book. Weekly Reader Books. Copyright 1983. It has 32 pages (not counting the end pages). It has a name stamped inside the front cover at the upper edge.- "Hocus And Pocus At The Circus": by Fran Manushkin. Pictures by Geoffrey Hayes. An I Can Read Book. Weekly Reader Books. Copyright 1983. First Edition. It has 63 pages (not counting the end pages). The pages have light tanning, there is a short tear on the lower edge of end page 5/6, and a few pages have light creases. There is a surface scuff on the upper front cover near the spine.- "Frog And Toad Together": by Arnold Lobel. An I Can Read Book. Weekly Reader Books. Copyright 1971, 1972. It has 62 pages (not counting the end pages). It has a scrape and residue from a torn off sticker inside the front cover.
