He killed a buffalo and took the meat on his pack horse to the Saints and saved lives. He gave blessings to restore their health and ministered to their needs. He spent time with the American Indian tribes across the plains, serving them, blessing them and making friends. This insured safe passage for the wagon train companies coming west. He spent his life blessing and serving his fellow Saints.
